Members of the European Parliament were scheduled to meet with the colleagues from national parliaments on 3-4 February 2015 for the European Parliamentary Week. he conference presented an opportunity to discuss such issues as: + The European economic governance framework: stock-taking and future challenges They took the European Commission's Annual Growth Survey - which was published as the start of the European Semester - as the basis for the debate. Participants included Jean-Claude Juncker, President of the European Commission; Pierre Moscovici, EU Commissioner for Economic and Financial Affairs; Jeroen Dijsselbloem, Dutch Finance Minister and President of the Eurogroup; Martin Schulz, President of the European Parliament; Roberto Gualtieri MEP, Chair of the European Parliament Economic and Monetary Affairs Committee (ECON), and representatives of national parliaments from the EU Member States. |
