After a long delay the Kosovo government adopted on the 3 August 2016 the draft law on border demarcation with Montenegro that had been agreed between the two countries in August 2015. The adoption followed a debate in the Kosovo Parliament. However, for the law to come into force Parliament would have to ratify the agreement by a two thirds majority - and this was considered problematic as there had been many protests in Kosovo against the agreement as conceding too much to Montenegro. |
