In a Bastille Day interview with French TV channels on the 14 July 2013 President François Hollande said that France’s economic recovery was underway, with both industrial production and consumption picking up despite persistent unemployment. Fitch had cut France’s credit rating down from AAA to AA+ on the 12 July 2013 due to the country's uncertain economic outlook and the need for structural reform. The agency added that France's outlook remained 'stable'. |
