Füle: Bulgaria and Romania’s accession questioned the credibility of EU enlargement

In an interview published by EurActiv on the 26 June 2014, EU Enlargement Commissioner Štefan Füle admitted that member states and candidate countries had grown tired of the pace of the enlargement process, above all, the accession of Romania and Bulgaria, which raised a lot of questions about the credibility of the process.

The Bulgarian Foreign Ministry issued a statement on the 26 June 2014 regretting the comments by Mr. Füle.
