Germany’s Gabriel says open to debate on EU deficit rules

Vice Chancellor Sigmar Gabriel said on the 16 June 2014 he was open to debate on giving EU countries more time and flexibility to meet the bloc's deficit targets, as long as they were committed to reforms.
