Global Powers Scramble to Contain Neglected Armenian-Azerbaijani Conflict

Without the ability to influence the conflict parties or credibly enforce a ceasefire, the international community has left a security vacuum in Nagorny Karabakh.

The Russian-brokered ceasefire in Nagorny Karabakh appeared to be holding. But with each side claiming ‘victory’, diplomatic space needs to be carved out swiftly before new violence broke out.
