Greek far right Golden Dawn approved for EU election

The Greek Supreme Court gave on the 12 May 2014 the go-ahead for the ultra-nationalist Golden Dawn party to run in elections to the European Parliament.

The authorisation came despite an ongoing criminal probe against the political party, six of whose lawmakers including its leader are in prison awaiting trial.
