High Level Progressive Summit in Paris: PES family united in reviving Europe

Leaders of the Party of European Socialists (PES) held a meeting on 25 August 2016 in France. The main points on the agenda were achieving economic growth, social cohesion and the most important – saving and further development of the European Project.

This was also the first meeting held to prepare the informal meeting of heads of state and government in Bratislava, on 16 September.

Greece's prime minister Alexis Tsipras took part in the meeting as an observer, in the lead up to an anti-austerity meeting taking place in Athens later in the year.
