High Representative for Foreign Policy meets with Palestinian President

The European Union's High Representative for Foreign Policy met on 27 March 2017 with the Palestinian President.

Following the meeting, the High Representative reaffirmed the EU's strong committment to a negotiated two-state solution. She also expressed the strong opposition to the Israeli settlement policy and demolitions of Palestinian-owned structures. It was highlighted that the EU saw settlements to be illegal under international law.
