In a 60-point manifesto issued on the 26 January 2011 Socialist Party candidate in the 2012 Presidential elections in France, François Hollande has outlined plans to raise taxes from the country’s banks, big companies and higher earners to close the country’s budget deficit and fund job creation in his bid to defeat incumbent Nicolas Sarkozy.
