Hungary moves to repair image abroad

Hungary appointed a London-based financial PR firm and political lobby group, March 2011, in a bid to improve its battered public image and convince investors that economic and fiscal policy is in good hands.

The appointments follow an international outcry over Hungary’s controversial media law, which critics said would impinge on press freedom, prompting the European Commission to demand amendments.
