IMF tells France to slow the pace of deficit reduction

France should reduce spending rather than increase taxes in 2014 to protect a tentative return to growth, the IMF (International Monetary Fund) said on 5 August 2013 while warning that unemployment would keep rising in 2013 and 2104 in the eurozone's second-biggest economy.
