José Manuel Barroso to become chairman of Goldman Sachs International

José Manuel Barroso, former Portuguese prime minister and former European Commission president, was hired by Goldman Sachs International in non-executive advisory role to deal with the impact and consequences of the outcome of the referendum in the United Kingdom on its EU membership.

Mr Barroso faced a wave of criticism as a result of this nomination.
