In the aftermath of the UK's general election result in May 2015, several parties suffered some degree of internal agitation.

In the Labour party, Ed Miliband's resignation was followed by the start of a race for party leadership. The Liberal Democrats werea lso looking for a new leader, after Nick Clegg resigned. In the UKIP, internal discussions followed the rejection of Nigel Farage's resignation by the executive board of the party, as he did not manage to win a seat in the House of Commons.
