Launch of the 2017 Digital Economy and Society Index (DESI)

The European Commission published on 3 March 2017 the results of the 2017 edition of the Digital Economy and Society Index (DESI).

Further information:

The findings show that the European Union made progress but the gap between top digital players and lower-performing countries still remained wide. More efforts and investments were needed to make the most of the Digital Single Market (DSM).
