Report of a press briefing in the European Parliament on the 26 August 2009 at which Dalia Grybauskaite, President of Lithuania (and a European Commissioner from 2004-2009) and European Parliament President Jerzy Buzek (and a former Prime Minister of Poland) spoke on energy issues. Both indicated a degree of hostility towards the Nord Stream gas pipeline project, which is designed to bring Russian gas directly to Germany, bypassing Ukraine.
