Meeting: Agriculture and Fisheries Council, 14 March 2016

A meeting of the Agriculture and Fisheries Council took place on 14 March 2016, in Brussels. The agenda included the following topics:

+ Discussion on the difficulties faced in several agricultural sectors, including the pig meat, dairy and fruit and vegetables sector;

+ Call for conclusions on the support provided by the European Union to timber-producing countries under the FLEGT (Forest Law Enforcement Governance and Trade) action plan;

+ Discussion on the impact of the use of the voluntary 'traffic light' system for food labelling

+ Call for conclusions on fisheries partnership agreement with third countries.
