Memo: EU-Armenia: New context but same resolve to take partnership forward

Commissioner for Enlargement and European Neighbourhood Policy Štefan Füle participated at the 14th Cooperation Council between Armenia and the European Union in Brussels on 9 December 2013.

This meeting took place in a sensitive year for bilateral relations, marked by Armenia's decision to join the Customs Union and to participate in the formation of the Eurasian Economic Union which is not compatible with the Association Agreement, including a Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area, as negotiated with the EU.
