On the occasion of the debate on the fundamental right of free movement of people in the EU taking place on 15 January 2014 in the European Parliament, the Commission updated its MEMO on free movement of people.

Vice-President Viviane Reding, the EU's Justice Commissioner, and László Andor, Commissioner for Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion, also attended the plenary debate.
