Memo: Q&A: Patients’ Rights in Cross-Border Healthcare

In March 2011 the European Parliament and the Council adopted a Directive on the application of patients’ rights in cross-border healthcare (Directive 2011/24/EU). The deadline for the Member States to bring into force the laws, regulations and administrative provisions necessary to comply with the Directive was 25 October 2013.
