Ministers to shelve maternity leave directive

EurActiv reported that a consortium of up to eleven member states led by the United Kingdom and Germany were set to freeze the Pregnant Workers Directive in its tracks when they met on the 17 June 2011, in the hope that the European Commission would later abandon it.
