More than half young Greeks are unemployed

Greece’s jobless rate climbed to a new record in May 2012 of 23.1%, underlining how austerity prescribed to slash deficits and keep bailout funds flowing is hitting the economy on which recovery depends.

Greek youth unemployment marked another record high at 54.9%.
