The UN secretary-general Ban Ki-moon called in May 2010 for 'courage' as talks on the future of Cyprus resumed with a new hardliner representing the Turkish north. Talks resumed with newly elected Turkish Cypriot leader Dervis Eroglu negotiating with Greek Cypriot counterpart Demetris Christofias.
