Nordic diet could prevent the EU’s biggest killer, scientists say

On the 24 January 2014, EurActiv reported on new Danish research which showed that the New Nordic Diet lowers the amount of unhealthy cholesterol, which is one of the main causes of cardiovascular disease and strokes.

On the 10 February 2014, EurActiv reported on the findings of a study by the American Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, which stated that a high sugar diet greatly increases the risk of cardiovascular disease regardless of body weight.
