[Opinion]: An end to Moldova’s morass

The author, who is speaker of the Moldovan Parliament and vice-president of Partidul Democrat din Moldova (PDM), says that Moldova should focus on a search for a parliamentary majority that can help a transparent government deliver the rule of law and economic reforms to Moldova’s citizens and international partners.

Unfortunately, the nomination as prime minister of Ion Sturza, announced on the 21 December 2015 by President Nicolae Timofti, does not meet one key democratic requirement: that of a parliamentary majority behind Sturza.
