Osborne starts off EU reform roadshow in Paris. Cameron planning June 2016 EU vote

The United Kingdom's Chancellor of Exchequer (Finance Minister) George Osborne started off a tour on 27 July 2015 around several European capitals to present the UK government's plans for EU reform. The first stop was in Paris.

Media sources also reported the UK could hold its planned referendum on EU membership as early as June 2016. Some sources suggested prime minister David Cameron could reveal the date during his keynote speech at the Conservative party annual conference in October 2015.

In late August 2015 Mr Osborne visited Helsinki, Stockholm and Copenhagen to build support for the UK’s demands for a new settlement in Brussels.
