Parliament bows to pressure over telecoms package

The European Parliament has tabled new proposals, October 2009, which are likely to secure the agreement of EU Member States governments in the Conciliation Committee in the long running negotiations to adopt the EU 'Telecoms Package'.

The new proposals has given the green light for EU Member States to cut persistent file-sharers off from the net.
