The European Parliament, on 28 September 2011, voted on the adoption of six legislative bills aimed at mastering the EU's debt crisis.

The so-called 'six-pack' on economic governance was expected to pass by a safe majority, even though Socialist and Green MEPs warned they would reject at least half of the package, saying it focused too heavily on austerity.
