Plaid and Labour clash over Glenys Kinnock

Plaid Cymru claimed in May 2009 that an analysis of the retiring Labour MEP Glenys Kinnock's speaking record in the European Parliament 1999-2009 showed she had mentioned Welsh issues only twice during a decade of speeches.

Plaid Cymru launched its 2009 European Parliament election manifesto on the 14 May 2009 with a stinging attack on the record of the Labour Party's Welsh MEPs.
