If the populist Five Star Movement (M5S) in Italy did well in a future general election in Italy (which must be held at the latest in early 2018), would they consider an alliance with the Northern League, to allow them to form a government. While the parties are not seen as natural allies commentators see suggestions that the idea is being considered.
