Poroshenko says Ukrainians at risk of losing faith in EU path

Ukraine's president alerted on 16 January 2017 that his country's citizens risked becoming disillusioned with a pro-European path if there were further delays to plans to cement Ukraine's closer integration with the European Union.

The EU reached an agreement on visa liberalisation for Ukrainian citizens late in 2016, but the Association Agreement between the two side still needed to be legally ratified, following a troubled process.
