President-elect vows to restore the ‘credibility of Cyprus’

Centre-right leader Nicos Anastasiades won the Cypriot presidential election in the second round held on the 24 February 2013 with 57.5% of the vote.

He vowed to resume talks quickly with international bailout lenders and finalise a €17bn rescue by the end of March 2013.
