Press Release: Commission presents Action Plan for Fair and Efficient Corporate Taxation in the EU

The European Commission presented on 17 June 2015 an Action Plan to fundamentally reform corporate taxation in the European Union.

The Action Plan sets out a series of initiatives to tackle tax avoidance, secure sustainable revenues and strengthen the Single Market for businesses. Collectively, these measures aimed at improving the corporate tax environment in the EU, making it fairer, more efficient and more growth-friendly.

The European Parliament's plenary held a debate with the commissioner Pierre Moscovici on 24 June 2014 regarding the corporate tax action plan. Members of the chamber asked the EC to acceleate its work to deliver concrete legislative proposals, rather than a plan.
