Press Release: Council adopts regulation amending EU emissions trading scheme

On 14 April 2014, at the Agriculture and Fisheries Council meeting that took place in Luxembourg, the Council of the European Union adopted a regulation amending the EU Emissions trading scheme directive, in view of the implementation by 2020 of an international agreement applying a single global market-based measure to international aviation emissions.
