The plenary of the European Parliament strongly condemned on 29 April 2015 the massascre of nearly 150 students at the Garissa university campus in Kenya on 2 April, the latest in a series of atrocities perpetrated against Christians by the Somalia-based Al-Shabaab terrorist group. MEPs demanded that the European Union supported Kenya in its efforts to combat extremists. On the following day, the Parliament was scheduled to vote a resolution on the persecution of Christians around the world. |
