On 10 March 2016, the Council of the European Union adopted Council Decision (CFSP) 2016/359.

The Council Decision extended the existing measures until 15 September 2016 and amended the list of persons and entities subject to restrictive measures as set out in the Annex to Decision 2014/145/CFSP.

EU Candidate Countries, EFTA member states and members of the EEA, as well as Ukraine, aligned themselves with this Council Decision.
