Press Release: End of roaming charges: presidency strikes a deal with European Parliament

The Council of the European Union and the European Parliament reached an informal agreement on 30 June 2015 concerning the end of mobile phone roaming fees and the safeguard of net neutrality.

Both sides still needed to formally approve the agreement, which would allow roaming charges to be scrapped by 2017.
