Press Release: EU-Moldova: Challenges ahead of signing the Association Agreement

On 24 April 2014, Štefan Füle, Commissioner for Enlargement and European Neighbourhood Policy, met with President of the Republic of Moldova Nicolae Timofti in Prague. They discussed the situation in the country, including the many regional challenges it is faced with, and agreed that the political stability was more than ever Moldova's invaluable asset; it offered an opportunity to focus on the necessary reforms and on concrete deliverables for the citizens.
