Press Release: European Enterprise Awards to reward entrepreneurship across the continent

Officially launched as part of the UK presidency late in 2005, the European Enterprise Awards were to recognise and reward initiatives by local and regional authorities to support entrepreneurship. They aim at raising awareness of positive enterprise activities and celebrate entrepreneurial success in developing Europe’s economy. The deadline for receipt of entries at national level was 31 May 2006 with the winners to be announced at a ceremony in Brussels in December 2006.
