Press Release: Human rights: Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Cambodia

The European Parliament approved in plenary on 26 November 2015 the following resolutions on the human rights situation in third countries:

+ Cambodia: the EP urges the country to drop all charges brought against opposition leader Sam Rainsy and Cambodia National Rescue Party (CNRP) members;

+ Bangladesh: the resolution calls on the country's authorities to restore the full independence of the media;

+ Afghanistan: members of the chamber appeal its government to intensify cooperation with the Pakistani counterpart.
