Press Release: In Georgia and Armenia: time to deepen our cooperation and commit to shared values

Štefan Füle, European Commissioner for Enlargement and European Neighbourhood Policy visited Georgia and Armenia on 9-12 July 2013 to discuss EU's relations and cooperation with the two countries and take stock of the progress made in the final phase of the negotiations for Association Agreements including DCFTAs in view of their initializing at the Eastern Partnership Summit in Vilnius in November 2013.

The EUObserver reports on the 9 July 2013 that the novel language in the draft EU-Georgia association treaty highlights hostility toward further EU expansion.
