Press Release: Iran: how the nuclear agreement could create opportunities

The European Parliament's foreign affairs committee held on 19 October 2015 a debate with the experts regarding the European Union's strategy towards Iran.

Specialists pointed out that opportunities could be created following a deal reached in July 2015 concerning Iran's nuclear programme. Such agreement, negotiated for over a decade, would certainly affect the country and its role in the world. However, MEPs also raised concerns about the country's human rights record.
