Press Release: Promotion measures for agricultural products adopted by the Council

On the 13 October 2014 the Council adopted the regulation on information provision and promotion measures for agricultural products on the internal market and in third countries following an agreement at first reading with the European Parliament. The United Kingdom, the Netherlands and Swedish delegations voted against.

The regulation renews the legal framework for the promotion of European agricultural products on the internal market and in third countries in the context of the very competitive environment the EU faces today.
