Press Release: Sixth meeting of the Stabilisation and Association Council between the European Union and Montenegro

The sixth meeting of the Stabilisation and Association Council between Montenegro and the European Union was held on 22 June 2015 in Luxembourg.

The country was praised for the overall progress in the accession process, but some concerns remained. The Accession Conference with Montenegro at Ministerial level decided to open two more chapters for negotiations: Chapter 9, for Financial services and Chapter 21, for Trans-European networks. It also confirmed the opening of other chapters.
