Press Release: Transport: European Parliament adopts equivocal first reading position on fourth railway package

On 26 February 2014, the European Commission (EC) expressed its disappointment about the European Parliament's plenary vote on the six legislative proposals forming the fourth railway package. According to the EC, the amendments adopted by the European Parliament will limit effective competition in the rail sector.
