The European Parliament published in June 2015 a feature explaining what the ISDS (Investor-to-State Dispute Settlement) is, what it means and why it has become a relevant topic of discussion within the negotiations between the European Union and the United States on the Translantic Trade and Investmnent Partnership (TTIP).

The ISDS is one of the mechanisms being considered to resolve disputes between foreign investors and states. This matter was partly responsible for the postponement of the vote on the trade deal in the European Parliament on the 9 June 2015.
