Russia bans import of EU animal fats

Russia announced on 20 October 2014 it had decided to restrict the import of animal fats from the European Union after a number of products failed to meet hygiene standards.

This ban follows the restriction on most of EU food imports as a consequence of the sanctions EU authorities decided to apply on Russia.
