Russia’s WTO bid on ice, say diplomats

Article reports that Russia's bid to join the World Trade Organisation was considered dead for the foreseeable future, according to diplomats in August 2008, who cited US and Georgian resistance to Russian membership as well as increasing misgivings from Moscow itself.
