Serbia wins right to challenge Kosovo at ICJ

Serbia can challenge the legality of Kosovo’s independence in the International Court of Justice, the highest court of international law, the United Nations General Assembly decided on the 7 October 2008. The ICJ will be asked to give an advisory, non-binding opinion on the legality of Kosovo's declaration of independence from Serbia in February 2008.
