Silence is golden

Editorial suggests that Axel Weber, President of the Bundesbank and member of the Governing Council of the European Central Bank, should not air his dissent from ECB policies. In a speech in November 2010 he criticised the emergency programme of government bond purchases on which the ECB embarked in May 2010.
